Handbuilding for Seniors (Ages 50+)

Curious about working with clay? Tap into your artistic side and connect with other seniors in this 4-week handbuilding class.

$160 + $20 materials fee

Introduction to Pottery
LEARN THE BASICS
Beginners start with the foundations: handbuilding techniques- pinch, coil and slab. Then explore the wheel- throwing and trimming. Finally learn how to finish work by glazing.
Intro A 6:30-8:30 PM THURSDAYS
October 23rd - December 18th

Starting week #2 Open Studio: 5:30-6:30 PM

8 week session
$320 + $35 required studio fee (includes 25lbs clay, glazes & firing)
Adults 18+
PROGRESS YOUR SKILLS
Students will develop their own projects, from handbuilding to wheel throwing and anything in-between. Advanced techniques will be taught based on these projects. Come to the first class with an idea and we will explore and see where it can take you. Basic pottery foundations required.

$320 + $40.00 *studio fee (as needed)

All classes run for 6-8 weeks + as needed-studio fee required (includes 25lbs clay bag, glazes and firing) + basic tools provided + bring your own apron/towel + Make-up classes should Coastal Mudworks need to reschedule may add an additional week to the session.
*No instruction given during Open Studio Time, this is for students to practice skills learned independently.*
